Service Description

Our 8-Hour Illinois Concealed Carry (CCL) Class is designed for eligible students who receive qualifying prior training credit toward Illinois' 16-hour CCL training requirement. USA Veteran Firearms Training provides convenient in-home classroom instruction followed by the required live-fire qualification at the designated range. Prior training eligibility and documentation must be verified before credit is applied. Students must complete all remaining required training, including applicable Illinois and federal firearms law instruction, weapons handling, and live-fire qualification. Who May Qualify for Prior Training Credit? Active, retired, or honorably discharged members of the United States Armed Forces — 8 hours Qualifying prior law-enforcement/corrections firearms training — up to 8 hours NRA Basic Pistol — 8 hours NRA Personal Protection in the Home — 8 hours NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home — 8 hours Those are currently included on ISP's prior-training-credit list. Have other prior firearms training? Contact us before registering. Some ISP-recognized courses may qualify for 4 hours of credit, and qualifying prior-training credits may be combined up to the maximum allowed by Illinois requirements. Law Enforcement / Corrections: Training requirements and prior-training credit can vary based on current or former status, firearms training, employment history, and applicable Illinois requirements. Required Documentation Students requesting prior training credit must provide acceptable documentation before the credit can be applied. Military: Appropriate documentation establishing qualifying active, retired, or honorably discharged status. Prior Training: Certificate or other documentation required to verify completion of the ISP-recognized course. Former Law Enforcement/Corrections: Appropriate documentation supporting eligibility for prior-training credit under Illinois requirements. Not sure whether your documentation qualifies? Contact us before registering. What to Bring Students should bring note-taking materials and all documentation needed to verify their prior training credit. IMPORTANT: No personal firearms or live ammunition are permitted in the in-home classroom training area. Training equipment required for classroom exercises will be provided by the instructor. The required live-fire qualification is conducted separately.
