These Terms & Conditions and Class Policies (“Terms”) govern the use of the USA Veteran Firearms Training, LLC (“USAVFT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) website, training services, student resources, communications, and related services.
By registering for or purchasing a course or service, using our website or student resources, or otherwise engaging our services, you agree to these Terms as applicable.
1. Training Services
USA Veteran Firearms Training provides firearms safety, concealed carry, and related training services.
Course descriptions, schedules, pricing, locations, prerequisites, and other requirements may vary depending on the course selected.
Students are responsible for reviewing the requirements applicable to their course and providing accurate registration information.
2. Illinois Concealed Carry Training
Illinois Concealed Carry License training is conducted in accordance with applicable requirements for the course being provided.
Completion of a training course does not guarantee that a student will receive a Concealed Carry License or any other government-issued license, permit, or credential.
Licensing decisions are made by the appropriate government authority.
Students are responsible for completing any government application, fingerprinting, fee, identification, eligibility, or other requirements that are separate from the training provided by USAVFT.
3. Student Eligibility
Students are responsible for determining whether they meet applicable legal and course eligibility requirements.
USAVFT may refuse or discontinue training when reasonably necessary because of safety concerns, disruptive behavior, suspected impairment, failure to follow instructor directions, failure to satisfy course requirements, or other circumstances that could interfere with safe or lawful instruction.
4. FOID and Firearms Requirements
A Firearm Owner's Identification (FOID) card is not required merely to attend certain classroom portions of training when permitted by applicable law and course requirements.
Students must comply with all applicable laws regarding possession, transportation, handling, and use of firearms.
Students must also comply with the policies and requirements of any shooting range or facility used during training.
5. Classroom Firearms Safety
Unless specifically authorized or instructed otherwise by USAVFT, students must not bring personal firearms into the classroom training area.
USAVFT may provide appropriate training or practice equipment for classroom demonstrations and dry-practice exercises.
All students must follow instructor safety directions at all times.
Unsafe conduct may result in immediate removal from training.
6. Range Qualification
Courses requiring live-fire qualification include a separate range component.
Students must follow all range rules, commands, and safety procedures.
Range fees may be separate from the USAVFT course fee unless specifically stated otherwise.
Successful completion of classroom training does not substitute for a required live-fire qualification.
7. Course Completion
Students must complete all required portions of the applicable course before USAVFT will issue a training certificate.
Requirements may include classroom instruction, required exercises, live-fire qualification, student acknowledgments, waivers, required course activities, and other applicable training components.
USAVFT may maintain records documenting completion of these requirements.
8. Training Certificates
Training certificates are issued only after the applicable course requirements have been successfully completed.
Students are responsible for reviewing their certificate information for accuracy and notifying USAVFT promptly if a correction is needed.
A training certificate documents completion of training. It is not itself a Concealed Carry License, FOID card, or authorization to possess or carry a firearm.
9. Student Portal and CCL Companion
USAVFT may provide students access to electronic training resources, including the USAVFT Student Portal, CCL Companion, Student Portal Guide, post-class materials, videos, notices, and other educational resources.
Some materials may be designated as required post-class viewing or training-related resources.
Student portal resources are provided for the student's personal educational use and may not be copied, redistributed, resold, or used commercially without authorization.
10. Scheduling
Class dates and times are subject to instructor availability.
When a course requires multiple training days, those days may be scheduled consecutively or as otherwise arranged by USAVFT.
Requested dates are not guaranteed until confirmed.
USAVFT may propose alternative dates when a requested date is unavailable.
11. Location
USAVFT may provide mobile or in-home classroom instruction when appropriate.
The specific training location will be confirmed with the student.
Live-fire portions of applicable courses are conducted at an appropriate shooting range or facility selected or approved for the training.
12. Schedule Changes
Class dates or locations may be changed because of weather, range availability, emergencies, instructor illness, unsafe conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
When USAVFT must change a scheduled class, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule affected students.
13. Rescheduling and Cancellation by Student
Unless otherwise stated for a particular course:
More than 7 days' notice: A student may reschedule without a rescheduling fee.
More than 3 days but 7 days or less before class: A rescheduling fee may apply. The fee is $25 for renewal classes and $75 for other applicable classes.
3 days (72 hours) or less before class: The student may forfeit the entire class fee.
Failure to attend a scheduled class without appropriate notice may be treated as a late cancellation.
14. Payments
Payment requirements and due dates will be provided during registration or invoicing.
Unless otherwise stated, payment is due no later than one week before the scheduled class.
A student's reservation may not be considered fully secured until required payment has been received.
Applicable processing fees, range fees, or other separately disclosed charges may apply.
15. Refunds
Course payments are subject to the cancellation and rescheduling policies described in these Terms and any additional policy disclosed for the particular service.
Refunds, when applicable, will be handled according to the circumstances of the cancellation and the payment method originally used.
Fees already incurred for third-party services may be non-refundable where permitted.
16. Student Conduct
Students must behave safely and respectfully toward instructors, range personnel, other students, property owners, and others involved with training.
Threatening behavior, harassment, intentional safety violations, suspected intoxication or impairment, or refusal to follow safety instructions may result in immediate removal from training without completion of the course.
17. Alcohol, Drugs, and Impairment
Students must not participate in firearms training while impaired by alcohol, cannabis, illegal drugs, medications, or any other substance or condition that prevents safe participation.
USAVFT may prohibit participation whenever the instructor reasonably believes a student cannot safely participate.
18. Assumption of Risk
Firearms training and live-fire activities involve inherent risks.
Students participating in applicable activities are expected to follow all safety instructions and may be required to complete appropriate acknowledgments, releases, or waivers before participating.
Nothing in these Terms replaces any separate waiver or acknowledgment required for a particular activity.
19. Educational Information and Legal Disclaimer
Training materials may discuss firearms laws, concealed carry laws, use of force, self-defense, safety, and related legal topics for educational purposes.
USAVFT does not provide individualized legal advice and does not act as the student's attorney.
Laws and regulations may change. Students are responsible for complying with current federal, state, and local laws and should consult a qualified attorney when legal advice is needed.
20. Website Information
USAVFT makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate website and course information.
However, course details, schedules, fees, legal references, availability, and other information may change.
USAVFT may update website content and these Terms when appropriate.
21. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, USAVFT course materials, written content, student resources, graphics, instructional materials, and proprietary training resources are owned by or licensed to USA Veteran Firearms Training, LLC.
Students may use materials provided to them for their personal educational purposes.
Materials may not be reproduced, published, sold, distributed, or commercially exploited without permission.
22. Electronic Communications
Students may receive administrative or course-related electronic communications associated with services they request from USAVFT.
Email and SMS communications are subject to the student's applicable communication preferences and consent.
Providing a telephone number by itself does not constitute consent to receive SMS messages. SMS consent is obtained separately as described below.
23. SMS / Text Messaging Program
USA Veteran Firearms Training offers an optional SMS messaging program for students who expressly consent to receive text messages.
The program is used for non-marketing, course-related student notifications.
Messages may include:

Notification that a student's waiver has been received.

Access to the USAVFT Student Portal Guide.

Information about required post-class training resources.

Notification that a student's Illinois Concealed Carry training certificate has been issued or is available.

Other directly related student-service or training notifications consistent with the student's consent.
USAVFT does not enroll students in SMS messaging merely because they provide a telephone number.
24. SMS Consent
Participation in the USAVFT SMS program is voluntary.
Students must affirmatively consent before SMS messaging is enabled for their mobile number.
Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing, receiving, or completing training or other services from USA Veteran Firearms Training.
USAVFT may maintain a record of the student's SMS consent for compliance and administrative purposes.
25. SMS Message Frequency and Charges
Message frequency varies based on the student's training activity and applicable notifications.
USAVFT's student messaging program is designed to send a limited number of course-related notifications rather than recurring promotional messages.
Message and data rates may apply.
Students should contact their wireless carrier regarding their individual messaging or data plan.
26. SMS Opt-Out — STOP
Students may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying:

After an opt-out request is processed, the student will no longer receive messages through the applicable SMS program unless the student subsequently provides new consent as permitted by applicable requirements.
Students may continue to receive communications through other appropriate channels when necessary to provide services they requested.

28. Wireless Carrier Disclaimer
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Delivery of SMS messages may depend on the student's wireless carrier, device, service availability, and other factors outside USAVFT's control.
29. SMS Privacy
Mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and SMS consent information will not be sold or rented.
Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Information may be provided to service providers when reasonably necessary to operate the messaging service or provide services on behalf of USAVFT.

30. Third-Party Services
USAVFT may use third-party service providers to support website hosting, communications, payment processing, student-record management, SMS delivery, and other business functions.
Use of certain third-party services may also be subject to the provider's applicable terms and privacy practices.
31. Privacy
USAVFT's collection and handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

32. Limitation of Services
USAVFT reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or discontinue services when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, nonpayment, failure to satisfy course requirements, violation of these Terms, or other legitimate business reasons.
Nothing in these Terms requires USAVFT to provide services that would be unsafe, unlawful, or contrary to applicable training requirements.
33. Changes to These Terms
USAVFT may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, policies, technology, legal requirements, or business practices.
The current version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
Changes will apply prospectively as appropriate.
34. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the State of Illinois and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights or protections that cannot legally be waived.
